The State Government has accepted it as a challenge to improve the situation of electricity supply in the state and there has been consistent improvement in the situation. Various plans and schemes have been designed and are being implemented to achieve comprehensive improvement in the field of generation, transmission, sub-transmission and distribution network. A target set to electrify all the left ones villages by December 2018 has been completed..
The purpose of this Nishchay is to ensure the availability of electricity in every rural and urban household in Bihar. To achieve this goal, Mukhyamantri Vidyut Sambandh Nishchay Yojana is being implemented in the state under which government will ensure metered electric connection to all households in rural areas.
“Har Ghar Bijli” Nishchay was launched on 15th of November, 2016. Under this Nishchay, the State Government ensures metered electricity connection to all the households in rural areas using its own resources under Mukhyamantri Vidyut Sambandh Nishchay Yojana”.
Under this scheme, electricity connectivity has been provided to all the villages against the goal of electrification of all 39073 villages by December 2017.
Electricity connectivity has been provided to all the rural habitations against the goal of electrification of all 1.06 lakh rural habitations by April 2018.
Electricity connectivity has been provided to all 1.19 crore house holds by December 2018.
